SuDS+ to help Karbon Homes achieve stanley action plan

The team at Suds+ are delighted to be a strategic partner with Karbon Homes in delivering their Thriving Stanley Action Plan. SuDS+ engagement in 2023 identified Stanley Front Street as an area of concern despite it being outside the SuDS+ study area. Karbon Homes have the Front Street as a central part of their Place Strategy: Act as an anchor investor in the Front Street and the Board School site. Our engagement results were sent to Karbon Homes as part of their Board School consultation earlier this year. Look at them here

We are most interested in another aspect of Karbon’s Place Strategy: Identify opportunities for environmental improvements in Stanley, including green spaces on the high street and in residential areas. A small amount of funding has already been granted towards a small SuDS scheme on Durham Road and we expect other opportunities to overlap. A prime example of how collaboration can empower individual projects to achieve many benefits from multiple perspectives.
