Site Investigation Work Craghead Millennium Green
Site investigation work has begun at Craghead Millennium Green. This is to inform the design a SuDS feature reducing the problems caused by historic drainage features under the playing fields. The work carried out so far has opened up an area around an underground pipe which takes water from near Greylingstadt Terrace and runs it under the green into Stanley Burn. Currently the capacity of the pipe is exceeded during very heavy rain which backs up the system with water.

As part of the Millennium Green project SuDS+ will be completing some maintenance work on the site and to begin have trimmed back overgrown bushes from the pathways and extensive prickly bushes.

More details to come in the next few months.
