Site Beginning To Take Shape

Our first SuDS+ site on Cleveland/Cheviot Terrace is underway. After a couple of weeks the basins are beginning to take shape and the features marked out. Our photograph display below shows the site using a drone and also from a resident’s window. Work on the SuDS features is to be completed first with the community benefit or + elements of the scheme added over the next few months.

This photograph shows the site from above with the two basins near the top. The basins are designed to hold water at times of peak flow, slowing the water and preventing problems further down the hill. Basin 1 near the orange digger will contain water most of the time and the lower basin on the other side of the road should be dry apart from high rainfall events.

Over the next few weeks the features should continue to take shape and we will continue to post regular updates. Our overall plan for the site can be found here.
