Next Phase Of Work To Begin In Memorial Park

Tree Felling and Vegetation Management

As part of the ongoing work to revitalise South Moor Memorial Park essential felling and vegetation management works will be taking place within the Memorial Park for approximately 3 weeks starting week commencing the 9th February.

During this period, the majority of routes will remain open, but there may be occasions where access is temporarily restricted while active felling is taking place on an accessway. These delays/restrictions will be localised and kept as short as possible, and our teams will manage access safely.

Signage will be displayed throughout the park to notify users of areas where tree felling activities are in progress.

Works to Improve Pedestrian Access from Main Entrance

In addition to the vegetation works, there may be some disruption by the main entrance to the park, for 1 week commencing 23rd February, whilst the pedestrian access is improved. This work will join the pedestrian entrance to the car park, making it safer to access the park on foot at busy times. The new path removes the need to walk on the road when cars are entering and exiting the car park.

We kindly ask residents and park users for their consideration and cooperation while our workforce carries out these essential works. Your patience is very much appreciated.
